Eyes on the Prize

This life is a race to the finish but not everyone wins
It is a fight that we must fight with faith to reach the prize
Place your burdens at the feet of Jesus and at the cross
Lay down the sins that burden you so that you can run
Let nothing hold you back from the hope of heaven
Our reward is not confound to the winnings of this world
This world is not our home but a temporary place
Because our prize is an eternal one, a crown of righteousness
It is not an easy race and it requires your endurance
Look to Jesus to strengthen you in your pursuits
Pursue righteous living and exercise self-control
Run with purpose towards the God who is all things
Keep your eyes on the prize which is eternity with Him
Let nothing get in the way of all God has for you
Discipline your body and mind for kingdom work
Run with passion and pursue Him with everything you've got
Press on toward the goal of well done my good and faithful servant
