Cloud By Day

You are restoration to my brokenness

And the redemption of my emptiness

He rescues those who are trapped in sin

Lifts them up and breathes life within

Washes them in the blood of forgiveness

And He empowers us to be His witness

Though all hope seems forever lost

And there nothing but darkness ahead

I trust in the God of the cloud by day

And the One who brought the fire by night

He commands everything in this whole universe

And He has plans for each and every one of us

Nothing happens that wasn’t planned ahead of time

Even if it’s a valley low or a mountain to climb

The Lord is in us and with us through it all

If storm clouds or sunshine or rain falls

Though all hope seems forever lost

And there nothing but darkness ahead
