Be Still and Sit

Lord help me to shut me up
Teach me to be still and sit
Open my ears to listen
And my heart to be responsive
Help me to absorb Your truth
Like a sponge with water
Silence me so I can hear You
Incline my heart to Yours
Slow me down so I can be used
Remove the distractions in my life
So that I can breathe You in
Help me to sit still at Your feet
Instruct me to love like You love
To see others the way You do
Let people see You before me
And to know that I am Yours
Quiet my soul so that I can hear You
And I can hear the still small voice
Train me to seek after Your ways
Allow me to soak up all of Your blessings
