Fierce Tenacity

With every step that I take I am closer to the finish line
As a runner every step has purpose and done with drive
I run with purpose not aimlessly but my sights are set
Cuz You Lord have paid the prize and covered my debt
You God have show me the prize and I will never quit
I am running like the fire inside me has just been lit
I run to win and adhere strictly to the training given me
Laying down my rights for the glory of my King
Nothing will stand in the way of my chasing after You
I will run for Your honor Your glory and Your truth
Fierce tenacity persistence and determination I will be
For I wont let up, give up, sit down or stop climbing
Chasing after that crown with all that I have within me
Until I have run myself all the way into Your eternity
I don't run for myself cuz I would not keep going
Don't run for my own fame but I run for Your glory
For a crown that is everlasting not one that fades away
I will run so that when I finally meet you face to face
I will hear the words that I am living to hear You say
Well done my good and faithful servant come this way
I will be lead into the glory of You my sweet King
And I will join with the others and angels to sing
Holy holy holy is the Lord God Almighty
So I run for the joys that still await me
