Mother’s Womb

You created me and knit me together in my mother’s womb

Chose brown hair and hazel eyes with tan skin

You decided I’d be tall and strong with big feet

That I would need glasses in order to see the world

You made me look more like my dad than my mom

Chose me to be the oldest girl in my family

And have an older brother and three younger sisters

You knew all of this before the beginning of time

You know me inside out top to bottom left to right

Everything about me my thoughts my motives my aspiration

You know them before I even have them or think them

You know my whole life’s story from the beginning to end

You love me and You died on the cross in my place

I am lacking in all things but I am made new in You

Secure in my salvation I can run with confidence

Cuz You God who has never left me alone not once

You are with me still and I can do all things through You

So far from perfect but my weakness relies on Your strength

And I am at my strongest when I am at my weakest

Cuz the God of the world empowers me to move

I press onward toward the prize that awaits me

Eternal life spent with the One my heart adores
