Peel

Lord peel back the layers of my selfish heart

I know that it will be painful but I need it

Strip away the pieces that aren’t surrendered

Erase the parts of me that aren’t of You

Remove the brokenness and heal the scars

Restore the missing pieces and replace them

Keep me from giving in to the pressures of temptation

Let my focus be set on things above and not below

Engage me in the work of Your kingdom

Kill off the things that are only of me

And replace them with all that You are

I surrender to the work of Your hand in me

Mold me break me shape me for my calling

Mend me bend me and grow me in You

For this life was made to be all for You

I am Your masterpiece Your artwork on display
