Covering of Your Wings

I put on You Lord like new clothing

United under the covering of Your wings

I am your child I belong to You now

I was bought by Your precious blood

You purchased my freedom and adopted me

I am no longer a slave to my sinful self

But I am a child of the One true King

My chains have been broken never to be placed

This life of mine has direction I’m running this race

Cuz I have been given a second chance to live

And I am not taking this chance lightly

But I am living for the King of kings now

Every day I pray to look more like my Savior

Clothed in His righteousness radiating His love

Being a part of being His kingdom here

Showering others with kindness and love

Showing them the changes in my heart

Pointing them to the God who can save them too

Sharing the joy that comes from His freedom

Each day a new opportunity to bring Him fame
