Goodbye

I said goodbye to fear too many times

But slowly I let him back into my mind

To the point of overwhelming me to stillness

I cry out in desperation for Your rescue

Oh Father remove my fear and doubts

And instantly You remind me of who You are

That fear has no place here in Your presence

For You’ve given me power and strength

And Your perfect love casts out all of my fears

Help me to replace my fear with trust

Teach me to tell my fear to leave right now

And that goodbye means goodbye forever
