I Choose

Miserable is the only life apart from You God

I've tasted and seen what this world has to offer

And only offers pain, suffering, and death

It doesn’t want the best for me anyway

But seeks to kill my joy steal my breath

And tries to destroy my life’s purpose

Wants me to become blind to Your goodness

And deaf to the truth of its bondage

Willingly become a slave to my sin

Cuz I’ve tasted and seen Your loving kindness

There's nothing sweeter than Your holy presence

Why would I anything less than all You are

You offer freedom and more blessing than imaginable

Love that has no limits or conditions attached to it

Grace that makes no sense and mercy with no end

I choose joy, life, and purpose that is found in You

Cuz in You I find more than I could ever need
