Truth and Life

Teach me Father to speak truth and life

Help me to keep my tongue from speaking evil

But to speak goodness and blessing instead

Show me how to keep my lips from telling lies

But only share truth and point people back to You

I want to declare Your Lordship to the masses

So that only You receive the honor that is due

Cuz the highest praise is what You deserve

Let me speak encouragement to build up the family

Help me to hold my tongue when its necessary

And to speak life and not speak death

Teach me to control my tongue tightly

So that only blessings overflow from me

Let Your sweetness flow out of me to others

That my tongue and lips represent You well

I want to be peace loving, gentle and kind

Help me to plant peace to reap righteousness
