You Were There

Daddy God I rest my head oh so gently on Your chest
When I read Your Word I can hear straight from You
Cuz You were right there watching it all play out
It was all a part of Your master plan for my life

Your faithfulness drips off every page
And Your glory shines with every word

Thank You for Your Word
To guide me through this life
Thank You for Your promises
To give me hope through the night
I praise You for all that You are
God here's my life and my heart

You were there and created the world
You were there when Your people were slaves
You were there when Your Son had to die
And You were there when I was born
