Equipped for the Battle

I am fully equipped for the battle that rages on

You have given me everything I need

To defend myself against the enemy

My heart is sealed by Your blood and you have saved me

The enemy has no say because I am in your army

I have Your Word to be my sword to slash the lies

I wear the helmet of salvation on my head

To keep me from doubting my allegiance

On my chest hangs the breastplate of righteousness 

I wear it to protect my heart and my emotions 

I use my shield of faith to block the fiery arrows

The belt of truth I wear to cling to Your truths

I wear shoes of peace to spread the good news

I am equipped to face the day with all I need

You are with me through every battle I face
