So Tired

So tired I can barely keep my eyes open

But works to be done and so Lord I’m hoping

For Your supernatural strength to lift me up

Cuz right now I’m falling asleep in my coffee cup

Sleep didn’t come easy for me last night

And I need You to help me fight the good fight

Cuz I’m dragging myself out the door right now

Asking for You to awaken my soul somehow

Exhausted an underestimated feeling of me

Wake me up Lord I’m down praying on my knees

Praying to wake up and do what’s expected of me

When all my body wants to do is go back to sleep

And I trust in You the God of impossible things

Cuz right now impossible is all that I see

Can barely pry my eyes open for a minute

But You’re God I am not I’m thankful for it

Let me be a light in this world of darkness

And let love flow out me even in sleeplessness

Cuz the exhaustion doesn’t change who’s on the throne

So I sit down I shut up and I get the work done

Let others see You and not the bags under my eyes

Cuz it’s a new day to worship the King of all time
