Such sweet victory You have given us

No longer trapped by our sinful mess

You have rescued Your children from despair

Gave us strength in our weakness there

Drove out the lies and fear which held us

Released us from the enemy’s grasp

Lifted our heads and pulled us out of the clay

So that glory may be given to Your name

You saved us when we thought we were gone

All hope seemed lost nowhere to call home

Trapped in the depths of sin and grave

Until You called us out when You came

Washed my wicked heart clean as can be

Broke off my chains and I was set free

The end of the story is already written

Your victory is known it is not hidden

Lord sweet freedom You’ve given to me

May my life praise You now through eternity
