I Have a Choice

I have a choice to fear or to trust

And God I am holding onto You

I trust You’re still holding the world in Your hands

Trusting that in all things You still have a plan

You are a faithful God who has never failed

And You’re not starting or going to now

I cling to You when everything falls apart

You are the God who remains the same

You relentlessly pursue and never leave me alone

And You are closer than the breath in my lungs

Nearer than the heart beating in my chest

My choice is to trust You in the uncertainty

Cling to You when the waves toss and turn

Hold tight to Your everlasting promises

Stand firm in the truth that You’re in control

And remind fear that it was conquered by the cross
