It doesn’t take much to realize the gift of Your love

There’s nothing I could do to earn any of it

Yet here we are and You pour Your love over me

Your love is not based on me but on You God

It is based on who You are and what You’ve done

Because I know I haven’t accomplished anything

Thank You that Your affection is based on Your goodness

Because I am a sinner, selfish and not good

Thank You that it’s not about my performance

But that it is about my position as Your daughter

Nothing I’ve done to deserve this affection

But You cover me in Your sweet and kind love

When I was knee deep in my sin You pulled me out

Said I love you and I’ve loved before You knew me

I remember the day I created you hand knit you

I died in Your place so that you could be free

No longer covered in the filth of your sin

But I took on you sins so that I could clean you

My love is unconditional meaning it doesn’t depend on you

I love you because I love you nothing else
