Without Ceasing

I want to pray without ceasing

Stay in constant communication

To take every thought captive

And give You praise all day long

To include You in every decision

And seek Your guidance in all things

To share You with others using words

And to be a light in the dark places

Let my focus never stop being on You

I want to silence myself before You

Help me to listen and not speak

To quiet my soul so I can hear You

Remain still and know You’re God

Keep me speechless so I don’t interrupt

Focused on the words You are saying

Not trying to think of a response

Or interject with a thought of my own

Restrain my thoughts from running
