Quiet My Heart

 

Forgive me for being impatient O Lord

And not sitting quiet in Your presence

I talk too much and I listen too little

I tell You I want to hear from You

But I don’t shut up and silence myself

Why do I do the opposite of what I desire

Teach me Father to humble myself before You

I can never hear from You if I don’t stop

So I bow down face down at Your feet

I silence my mouth and sit to listen from You

Quiet my heart to allow my ears to hear

I just want sit in Your presence with You
