A Forest of Likes

Radiant colors light up the new day As we wake up look to You and pray O God have Your way in me today Let them see You in all that I say This life is Yours I lay all of me at Your feet Cuz only You O God can set me free And I beg of You to rescue me oh please Forgive me for making this life about me I surrender to You and give You my all From standing to my knees do I fall Face to the floor desperately I call Cuz I feel like I am backed against a wall No matter what You’re still worthy of this And in You I can never be lost in the abyss Point out the chosen path so I don’t miss Remind me that my ending is eternal bliss

8/7/19 If I don’t give sin a breath If I beat it down to death It will still keep coming back If I pretend it’s not real Then I won’t have to deal With the truth I’m in denial Inside I am slowly fading Dying from the inside out Please illuminate the truth So the truth can set me free I can’t hide can’t cover up Can’t pretend or forget Can’t stay in the shadows So I step into Your light Call on Your glorious name  Cuz in You there’s freedom Only the truth can save me So please set me free If I forget the pain Don’t give it a name It’s not a problem right If I hide it all away Don’t let it have a say It has no control right

Your love is a vast ocean covering me Waves of Your mercy grace and peace You lather me with unconditional love Overflow my heart with Your goodness Thank you so much for Your forgiveness Wash over me and make me whole Pour out all of me so I can be Yours Call me out of myself into Your light Shine through me Lord shine bright All glory to the glorious King of all kings The One who pours out His blessings May I radiate Your love to the world Penetrate to the core of my own soul In Your holy name please make me whole

God You are the artist and You paint your strokes upon me Sometimes I have to sit patiently while you work Creating the changes necessary for me And others times i have to be still and allow Your paint to dry Be still and know that You’re the God of all Here I am a blank canvas for Your glory To display Your majesty and wonder Here I am a blank canvas to be used To show the world the King of it all Paint in me what You want to paint Change in me what needs to be changed Create in me what needs to be created Beautify the ugly found inside of me I was made by You to be used by You

Lord peel back the layers of my selfish heart I know that it will be painful but I need it Strip away the pieces that aren’t surrendered Erase the parts of me that aren’t of You Remove the brokenness and heal the scars Restore the missing pieces and replace them Keep me from giving in to the pressures of temptation Let my focus be set on things above and not below Engage me in the work of Your kingdom Kill off the things that are only of me And replace them with all that You are I surrender to the work of Your hand in me Mold me break me shape me for my calling Mend me bend me and grow me in You For this life was made to be all for You I am Your masterpiece Your artwork on display May I be a picture of Your love and kindness

Your love laps over me like calm waves Then comes crashing into my headspace  To remind me your love is as vast as the ocean And that You put all things into motion From one end of the world to the other O God You lavish Your love like a tsunami  You are constantly in pursuit of me How can I count your endless love Or comprehend all You’ve done When King Jesus You love me Despite all of me You love me Your thoughts of me more numerous than the fishes You overflow me with hope no need for wishes You love, care, and feed every living thing Somehow I am one of those You chose me

How can it be You have a thought of me When I am selfish and nowhere near meek How can You love me when I doubt You When I am prideful and disobey You Can’t imagine or fathom Your love But I know it never runs out  And I am holding onto that  Your love never stops It never stops chasing after me Your grace never ends It never ends up leaving me Your mercies are new They are new every morning  Your peace is mine It is mine forever and ever How can I fathom Your goodness When there’s nothing good in me How can You change my heart When I am as stubborn as I am

Healing in the brokenness Peace in the stress Strength in the weakness Your name be blessed In the moments of uncertainty When I’m clouded with fear You’re still God right here So I surrender to Your will  I know You’re good still Despite my situation Despite my fear You reign on high Holy King Jesus You’re in control Face to the floor and I let go Worthy of every part of me And I lay me at Your feet

I desire You with every part of my being Dedicated to the glory of Your name Surrendered to the direction of Your will My face is down at the feet of Your throne Laying myself down to be used for Your glory This life is my worship song to give back to You I am branded with Your name on my heart Committed to carrying You to the world A vessel to share Your name with all Each breath is a gift to speak of You I want to faithfully serve You my King Cuz I am captivated and committed to You All that I am is for You here I am use me
