A Forest of Likes

Thank you for your grace that allows me to live Live a life worthy of my calling You’ve given me May I always seek to find all Your treasures That I may experience all you have in store for me Desire your heart, your ways your love your will and your direction I pray for your power empower for Your glory To allow me to accomplish the things you desire To accomplish all the good works of Your will That my faith in you prompted me to do That I may know you on deeper level And I may honor you with my life Empower me so that I may be able to live Live the life you’ve called me to May people see the beauty of my King In the way that I live and move and breathe That Your glory radiate from the inside out And that my face may glow for Your fame  Read First Thessalonians 1:11-12

Lord when I spend time in Your presence Do I actually listen to what You have to say Do I care to hear from the one above Or do I just spend the whole time talking And do I never sit in silence with You Here I am just spewing words out of my mouth Instead of humbly silencing myself before You Quiet my heart so that I may receive from You You have so much for me if I would just listen Teach me to have a meek and receptive heart To shut me up so I may receive from You Silence the voices in my head so I can hear I want to sit at Your feet and receive Close the door of my motor mouth And allow me to humble myself before You I lay all of me before Your throne Teach me Your ways cleanse me within This life is a vessel for You to use

In both good times and in rough ones  Lord let me seek Your holy presence Regardless of what’s placed in front of me May I always seek You first above all else May the things of this world fade away And everything You have be what I’m after I want only You and what You have for me Show me each and every step to take And lead me in the direction of Your will As we journey together side by side May I become more dependent on You Teach me obedience to follow Your lead I want to humble myself before You And seek after You with all that I am To submit to Your will and Your direction May the desire of my heart be only You Be striving to look like the King of my heart Surrender my weaknesses to be strengths And to always be running after You

Lord may I glow with Your radiant glory Be a bright light in this cold hearted world Shine You and Your glory into the darkness That people can see Your reflection in me And I may reveal Your glory in my life Cuz You bought me with the highest of price And I am not longer my own but am Yours With all that I am I live to glorify Your name To glorify the one who inhabits my heart Who dwells in me and never leaves me alone Give me a greater desire to glow for You So people see You before they ever see me They notice the difference of You in me That I am not like those of this world But that I have Your love inside me That I love like You love and shine brightly May I mirror You to a loveless dark world Let them see You O Lord let them see You Read first Corinthians 6:19-20

I trust in You Oh Lord of all things Cuz what can mere men do to me You hold the whole world in Your hands You command the day and night  But a breath away from eternity with You Just a step away from this life to the next  To a place with no more tears Just laughter and no more fears Where there’s dancing and feasts No nightmares or terrors of beasts Joy that can never be taken away In Your sweet presence we stay Oh Lord I look forward to that day My Dad owns the cattle on a thousand hills Knows me through and through loves me still And one day I will meet Him face to face But I will keep seeking Him until that day 

May these hands be Your hands And let these feet be Your feet Help me to touch those around me And walk in the paths set before me You’re worthy of all of me Lay myself at Your feet Use me for Your glory Cuz I am Your vessel Use me for Yourself Cuz I was made for You So let Your will be done May this mouth be Yours to use  And this body represent You Help me to speak only the truth And be a radiant light for You 

You were on a rescue mission for my heart You didn't stop till you had me in Your arms Broke through my own stubbornness and pain Gave me a new life new identity new name Brought me close to You and into Your family Healed my wounds and the scars all over me Comforted me and You nursed me back to life Carried me out the darkness, into Your light  Opened my eyes to see beyond what lied below Planted me in Your garden so that I could grow Watered me with love; showered me with grace Brushed off the dirt; wipe the tears from my face You redeemed that which I thought was lost Bought me with Your blood what a heavy cost Died in my place before I even knew You Then went on a mission of my heart to rescue Came to save me from the sins I made  Amazed that I was even chosen to be saved But here I now held in the shadow of Your wings On this journey with You for all of eternity

I put on You Lord like new clothing United under the covering of Your wings I am your child I belong to You now I was bought by Your precious blood You purchased my freedom and adopted me I am no longer a slave to my sinful self But I am a child of the One true King My chains have been broken never to be placed This life of mine has direction I’m running this race Cuz I have been given a second chance to live And I am not taking this chance lightly But I am living for the King of kings now Every day I pray to look more like my Savior Clothed in His righteousness radiating His love Being a part of being His kingdom here Showering others with kindness and love Showing them the changes in my heart Pointing them to the God who can save them too Sharing the joy that comes from His freedom Each day a new opportunity to bring Him fame

You have no place here not in my heart or home I have the Spirit of God living inside me You have no place in my mind cuz it’s not your residence I am a temple of the Lord here for His glory You have no power over me cuz I am the Lords I am empowered by His holiness and strength  You have no power to control me cuz I am free No longer shackled to your chains of despair I was freed by the blood of the perfect Lamb Jesus poured out His life so I could live Death and darkness follow you and I am His light His power is within me to stand up against you At the sound of His name you cower away You have no say in this life anymore It’s not yours to have cuz grace saved me I am born again in the loving family of God My name is written in the Lamb’s book of life It can never be removed or blotted out Fear has lost its grip or ability to shatter me My God is stronger and closer than my next breath You can’t hold me back or restrain me anymore Cuz H

Quietly I wait before Your throne For You are my only hope And the rock of my salvation My fortress that will not be shaken In You I find my refuge and strength I trust in You to hold me close to You To protect me from the enemy’s plan Victory is the Lord’s and only His Where else could I possibly go When You are all that I need You give my lungs air to breathe Tell my heart when it’s time to beat Move my feet when it’s time to leave Lord You are all that I need

I give this day to You And everything I do Is to glorify only You Here’s my heart Here’s my plans Help me to be Your hands This day is Yours O Lord Guide me with Your Word Use me for Your will Help me to be still Show me where to go Teach what to know I know i belong to You So teach me what to do

In the moments of silence When tears cloud my eyes I am reminded of grace How Jesus took my place No matter how life looks Life is a story to fill books A story of redemption In the moments of joy When laughter fills the air I am reminded of love God sends us from above How He knows us deeply And somehow still love me A story of redemption In moments of raw emotion When words can’t come out I am reminded of peace He calms the storm in me He have never left me alone My heart He calls His home A story of redemption 

You accept me as the mess that I am Call me by the name that You see me And You lavish such blessings over me In You there’s nothing that I can’t do Cuz I have resurrection power in me And it is coursing through my veins You call us to do more than Yourself I can do all things through Christ Since You say that I can here I am Send me to do more wherever You call More in my workplace more in my school More in my home, coffee shop, or grocery store Let me be bold and speak out Your truths Cuz with You God there’s nothing I can’t do

Everything I have been given is a gift from You And without You I can’t breathe, talk, or move So Lord here I am with upraised arms to You Asking You to be in the center of everything I do My marriage will fall apart without You leading us So we surrender to Your will for our lives My life has no purpose or direction away from You So I lay down my rights and humble myself to Your will My work is nothing but task after task without You So I give these hands and feet to be used for Your glory My education helps no one if You’re not involved So I give You my mind and knowledge for Your purposes Be in the center of all of the things You’ve given me I do not take for granted the many blessings You pour out I lay them back at Your feet to be used for kingdom work Cuz these things were never mind to hold onto tightly So I release any control I think I have in all of this And surrender everything to You to command Bring forward that which I need and not

My favorite words in my life story are the words but God I was so lost but God intervened on my behalf Stuck in the depths of my sin but God called me out Fallen in the miry clay but God pulled me out Lost with no chance but God rescued me Jesus came to the Earth that He created And rescued me from sin and redeemed me This life was bought at the highest price The blood of my Savior King was spilt So that I could live without my chains No longer bound to my sinful desires My eyes were stuck on my own desires and wants But God lifted my eyes to see those around me And gave me new visions and a new purpose  My feet were set on a new path and direction
