A Forest of Likes

Lord please forgive me for my fire spewing tongue My mouth burns others when it starts to speak So I can ruin someone with just one word The damage is irreversible and eternal It leaves a lasting scar that cant be erased The memory is left behind after the healing Lord please forgive me for my blabbering mouth That beats down others to build up myself Drives nails into the cores of people's hearts With words that penetrate their chest walls Flatten out people's hopes and dreams Cutting out their feet from beneath them Allow me to speak Your peace into other people’s chaos To talk joy in the face of uncertainty  To be a voice for those whose voice has been taken away To point others to You with everything I say and do

Lord Your presence is essential to life And I cant walk this journey without You Cuz I need You every mile, step and moment I am desperately in need of Your presence My day cant happen without You in it I want to glorify You with every minute Every day is a gift from You O Lord May I never forget that today could be my last Not every breath is promised Every heart beat isnt guaranteed So let every breath and beat be for You All that I am worship You King Jesus

I can't bow low enough Oh holy God and mighty King Majestic Lord exalted above all Your name is awesome wonderful You rule with justice and righteousness We exalt You for You are holy Your love is endless never running out You overflow my life with grace and mercy You are glorious and You are radiant May I shine for Your glory And glow like the sun for You Worthy of all that breaths That I could every breathe Every word my mouth could speak I can never out of praise for You

Just as You spoke this world into existence And saw that everything You created was good So you deem me good regardless of my thoughts And with the same breath You breathed in life The enemy will be slain with the breath of your mouth We hold tight to the promise of forever with You That Your words brought life and will end all evil forever The end of the story is already written You're victorious But may I be used for You before my story ends May I be a mouthpiece to bring You fame And every word be honey to another soul That I present Your gospel every chance I get And allow Your goodness to pour out of me Knowing that I am victorious in You my God May my life reflect your grace and mercy And be a radiant light of Your freedom To brightly shine the joy You've given me Until the day I take my very last breath May I never stop giving You all glory honor and praise

I Pledge My Allegiance I pledge my allegiance to the Almighty God The God of Abraham Issac and Jacob The God of both the Old and New Testament The God who sent His only Son Jesus To die in my place so that I might live freely I pledge my allegiance to the God of all creation The One who spoke the world into existence  The One who breathed life into man The God who made woman from man So that we would each have a helper I pledge my allegiance to the Savior King The One pulled me out my filth and sin The One who took my place on the cross The One who conquered sin and death So I can be a daughter of the family of God I pledge allegiance to the King of kings The One worthy of every breath I have The One worthy of every praise and all glory The One who handcrafted me in my mother And uniquely designed me in His image I pledge my allegiance to the Good Shepherd The One who guides me in truth and light The One who has never left me al

When everything is falling apart Cant hold anything together When nothing is going my way I am reminded I'm not in control Oh me of such little faith Sitting with hands on my face Wondering what I am to do You're telling me to look to You You were there when the world began And You're right here holding my hand I cling to You in times bad and good Cuz You're in control it's understood

Looking back over my life and my years And I realize I have always been blessed You have been there through it all Climbed every mountain beside me Walked through every shadow path Held my hand when fear creeps in You've never once left me alone You've journeyed every up and down with me Waited patiently for me to run back to You When I've strayed away from Your will You embrace me You wipe my tears away And point me back to the path You have I have always been blessed by You Lord You brought me through every part of it

I have been freed from the past me It's been burned by fire for all eternity No longer has power to control me When it's thrown in my face by the enemy I can point to the cross and say I'm free I've been washed by the blood of the Lamb Cuz those old ways are not who I am Cuz they were burned and buried you see I am forgiven and I am set free So devil your little plan to make me feel guilty Wont work cuz in Christ I have victory I am no longer defined by the past me But am a radiant light shining for His glory I lay my burdens at the foot of the cross My sins are forgiven I am no longer lost So I shout as loud as my lungs can give Thank You for this life that I get to live May every moment be for Your praise May I bring You glory all of my days

If I don't give sin a breath If I beat it down to death It will still keep coming back If i pretend its not real Then I wont have to deal With the truth im in denial Inside I am slowly fading Dying from the inside out Please illuminate the truth So the truth can set me free I cant hide cant cover it up Cant pretend or forget Cant stay in the shadows So I step into Your light Call on Your glorious name Cuz in You there's freedom Only the truth can save me So please set me free If I forget the pain Dont give it a name Its not a problem right If I hide it all away Dont let it have a say It has no control right

You are God and I am just dirt But You breathe life into me Give my purpose and a plan Designed this dust into beauty Constructed every cell of my body To function together to bring You praise My heart beats the name of Jesus And my lungs breathe You in and out From the dust You raised me to life To show your uniqueness and glory I worship You with all the air in my lungs And with every beat my heart is allowed How can I not sing of Your beauty Cuz You brought me out of the ground Put me on my feet and let me walk So may I never stop walking in this life By proclaiming the goodness of You God

I want to have Your eyes to see Your ears to hear and heart to receive  I want to be receptive to Your calling So here I am Father please use me Break and mold this vessel for Your purpose Reshape and bend me into something for You So that I can be someone You can use Want to have a heart to feel for others And a mouth to speak Your truths I want to be perceptive to the hurting So here I am Father open my eyes to see I am clay for the Potter to mold Take me in Your hands Lord I give You control  To be a part of Your plan Surrendered to You

My Savior King has overcome sin and death So I point my fears to the empty grave And say you lost your grip on this heart Cuz the perfect sacrifice was made for me And I am no longer a child of that grave But I have been given a new life and name I am chosen, known, and loved by my God Covered in His righteousness and grace No longer a slave to the grave but free Now a servant of the Most High God A partner in bringing His kingdom here I have been given a new and wonderful life My God has paid the ultimate price for me So that I can live for the glory of the Lord And tell others about my redemption story How the King of kings came to die for me And how He died for them as well What a merciful God to love us to actual death His precious Son the perfect sacrifice The words thank You God falls so short But I am so thankful for my rescue story

In my lifetime I've written countless poems I've been writing since I was 11 years old But I never thought about poems like this Till my eyes were opened and heart receptive God I am Your poem written out for others Every day is pre-planned and written out And when I look over the span of my life I can read of the beauty You've displayed And the wonderful rhymes and rhythms Woven into the fabrics of my every day Is Your perfect will written out for me I can see the metaphors and stories That scream of Your faithfulness and love They are covered in Your glorious name How can it be that my story is important But You're using me to bring You glory I am a vessel I have been given a second chance As i read Your love letter I realize this My heart is covered with Your love letters And that you are in constant pursuit of me You are writing my story so others can read it You are devoted to continually perfecting me And You are working towards my compl

God You were there when I took my first breath And You'll be there when I take my very last one Every minute of my life You have written You know everything that is going to happen From my first breath to my last You've been there You watched me take my first step and fall Heard me speak my first word and gibberish You saw me walk for the very first time Watched me teeter before I could walk a few steps You walked with me during my very first step And You've been walking with me ever since You've spoken life over me over and over You've walked beside me as I've lived I have never been alone since my first breath I won't ever be alone cuz You're here with me

There’s a reason for the heartaches and pain Comfortability is not the name of the game Hardships define where our real trust lies Cuz we won’t move unless forced sometimes  How easily we get so stuck in the right now And God has to pull us out of there somehow If we could walk away with just being told Guaranteed we wouldn’t have to be pulled But we are stubborn and we like it like that God has better if we surrender with no combat But we fight for our comfortable lifestyle Even if it hurts us we want to sit here awhile Thinking just a few more minutes won’t hurt While we sitting by ourselves covered in dirt Get out of the comfort zone that’s not comfortable So that God can do more so be willing and able To walk away from the things that don’t matter Let the comforts of this world fall and shatter Embrace the blessings of King who loves you Who promises you He will see you through He wants to rain good things over your life But you gotta t

The doubts may creep in Uncertainty in the front of my mind Lord I trust You'll hold me Close to You till the end of time This time was never mine to hold But is a gift from You Almighty God You know me better than I know myself Teach me Your ways and Your humility And teach me to love and glorify You May Your glory be the purpose of every action That I may radiate Your goodness Cuz I am unworthy but You are worthy And I am a child of the King A daughter of the Most High God Knowing every day is an opportunity May I daily bring You fame and glory

Lord you are my great provider I have everything that I need You are the strength in each step You are the air that I breathe You are the voice in my mouth And you are my hearts beat You know the hairs on my head And you know my every need You walk with me every step Every day I’m never alone You pour blessings over me Things I didn’t even know I needed You surround me with people who love me You provide the joy to face the fears of today You give me hope for tomorrow No matter what I face you’re with me And You provide truth to my fears remind me that yes I can do all things  and you are the strength behind it all

Lord help me to remain steadfast in this trial Sometimes fire is necessary to change my heart So I will stand for Your kingdom come what may Feeling pressure upon me from every side Squeezed to the point of losing my own strength But I lean into You and depend on You fully Struggling to lift up my sword but still I stand Cuz You have given me resurrecting power And I trust in Your will and plan for me Submit to Your control and sovereignty Cuz You're faithful through and through Mighty in power and my Savior King You don't change for You are always good No matter what is thrown my way I will remain firm in my faith and trust

I have a choice to fear or to trust And God I am holding onto You I trust You’re still holding the world in Your hands Trusting that in all things You still have a plan You are a faithful God who has never failed And You’re not starting or going to now I cling to You when everything falls apart You are the God who remains the same You relentlessly pursue and never leave me alone And You are closer than the breath in my lungs Nearer than the heart beating in my chest My choice is to trust You in the uncertainty Cling to You when the waves toss and turn Hold tight to Your everlasting promises Stand firm in the truth that You’re in control And remind fear that it was conquered by the cross

Running after You God with all that I possibly can Reaching out to You with arms outstretched to the sky Desiring to stay here in Your sweet welcoming presence  Wanting to sit at the feet of Your throne with just us Absorbing the truths about who I am and who You are Worshipping the King who rescued a wretch like me Surrendering to bring the kingdom of heaven on earth Allowing You to use me to bring Your message of hope Chasing after the One who has never stop running after me Nothing is going to stop me from the path You prepared Wanting everything You have for me and wanting nothing else

Walking hand in hand in the Spirit Journeying with You by my side Sometimes I'm pulled to the left or right And I definitely need to be rescued Keep my eyes forever on You Keep the distractions at bay Cuz I need You more today More than words could ever say With my eyes fixed on You All fear slips away Cuz You never leave me alone Father help me stay in Your presence Keep me near to the ways of Your heart Teach me to stay planted here with You And help me to never drift away
