A Forest of Likes

  I want less of me and more of You God Surrender to You cuz I am flawed I need Your perfection to change this heart So that I can be Your work of art O Lord more mercy more peace more love May you cover me head to toe from above Because I need You more than my next breath Face down I lay all of me at Your feet Desiring to bring You glory not me Because You’re the One who is worthy And I want to shine bright for Thee King Jesus You deserve it all And so to my knees I fall To give You all my praise Worship You all my days

  Don’t let the world shipwreck you But stay on Gods path of truth Their dangerous reefs are calling you Avoid their gaze whatever you do They bring clouds of uncertainty Try to churn up ungodly deeds But stand firm in the faith you have Lean into Jesus to be your staff To lead you into His pleasure And carry you through whatever Because you were made for more Than ordinary life but for A life that brings Him fame So all will know Jesus’ name

  He knows us each by name Created us all not the same Calls us chosen His own We are loved and known  More beloved than the sparrows  More valuable than the flowers Look at the birds God feeds them  Look at the flowers He’s clothed them But look at how much God loves us More than the birds and the flowers We are His beloved children We are redeemed by His blood He saved us from our sin Gave us a chance at eternal life

  Supreme King of above all others Mighty God deliverer of the sinner And chain crusher of the desolate We worship You Lord of lords King of kings Almighty One Ruler of heaven and earth Savior King Jesus Christ We bow before Your throne Holy Father Alpha and Omega My sweet Jesus the Messiah The Shepherd of my heart We praise Your holy name 

  No fear and no doubt can overcome Because the battle has already be won The cross defeated the grave and death He commands the world with a breath There’s no time to worry There’s no time to fear For He commands an army And He is already here This life has its ups and its down But my God He wears the crown Trouble and chaos may come But the Lord’s will will be done

  Built my life upon the foundation of Your love Because You hold the world in Your hands No better hands for me to trust to have me You see the other side of this mountain So I give You control to lead me there You already know what tomorrow entails So I surrender my need to worry about it I lean into Your arms for safety Knowing that You always have me No matter where this life goes You’re always holding me close

We all like to win right I mean nobody loves losing So what if I told you that in this life you could win forever Did that get your attention did that perk your ears We are to run with purpose and with direction And the prize is one that will never ever die It is eternal life with God who created you Everybody runs but not everybody wins But the end is written the ending is known God reigns victorious we can be on His team Join God's team and enjoy eternal life Because the enemy has already been defeated His story is already written and the enemy loses And God has called us back to Himself Believe in the truth of what awaits us

  Look at your hearts motivation Does it seek personal glory How often are we so selfish Living day to day for just us Just for a moment of pleasure Or just a fraction of happiness When the Lord is only worthy One Everything we do should be for Him To bring Him praise and honor Give up your need for acknowledgement Lay down your pride and selfishness So that the Lord may be glorified in you Embrace the joy that isn’t temporary But is eternal knowing your ending Live as if you actually believe it Radiating His joy and mercy to others Let them see the Lord in all that you do

  I will never stop boasting about my King Who came down from heaven to earth Spent time among us yet didn’t sin Beaten and took my place on the cross Took all of the sins of the world on Himself Died a sinner’s death that should’ve been me Conquered sin and death once and for all So that I could be set free from sin’s chains That I am no longer a slave to myself But free to pursue the God who pursued me Here I am Lord I am ready and equipped Send me use me show me where to go I will never be silenced or stop sharing About Your unconditional love and mercy How You took my place so I could live I am Your mouthpiece to spread Your fame Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty

  Pure and undivided devotion to Christ Only He is worthy of my heart and life No other will own my heart and soul Because I am branded by His blood I am branded as a child of the Lord Committed to bringing Him glory And I am a slave to His kingdom Covered by His blood washed clean Sealed in the Lamb’s Book of Life Dedicated to the will of my Father Radically changed from the inside out Desiring every day to look more like Him And to be a representative of heaven Surrendered to the calling I’ve been given Humbled before the throne of the King And His glory is what I am living for I give up my pride and humble myself Devoted to the King and His kingdom

  Winds are howling and screaming Beating on the house of my heart As it rains down hard on top of me Tries to take me and rip me apart I call to you and you answer I run to you your arms are open You receive me flood me with love Hold me while the world rages Never fought the storms alone You are always right beside me So I humble myself to Your will Because Your arms are covering Come at me whatever will My Dad commands the sky With a word the storm is gone So nothing comes as a surprise Because His perfect will will be done @aforestofliekes

  My past is erased by Gods grace Blinders taken off I can see His face Didn’t realize the weight I carried Until my sins were defeated buried Didn’t notice my own blindness Until my eyes were open to this Grace that I could never even earn A love that I could never deserve And yet He pours it over us all Redeemed from our sinful fall When my life seemed so grim  Restored to freedom found in Him Now I can see beyond today Eternal life is mine to stay A new man is now who I am And here in Christ I can Be who I am meant to be A child living for the King

  I will give you all the praise You are worthy all my days I give this life as an offering Let all I am praise the King King Jesus You reign on high You took my place with Your life Now all that I am if all for You And I am Your vessel to use You have all of me I want all of You I am an offering Of praise to You Take all of me I lay me down Pointing others to Your crown You’re worthy of my life To be pleasing sacrifice

L onging thirsting craving needing You Searching for more and more of You Desiring wanting to know the God of my soul The God that I love with every ounce of my being The One who ravishes my heart daily Who I pant after like water for my thirsty heart Who satisfies my hunger with His Word Feeds my inner being and refills my emptiness Replaces that which is lost restores the broken The One who gives life to that which was dead   Resurrecting the dead into a life with You Read Psalm 63:1-8

God thank you for the countless times That you have waited patiently for me For the times you walked with me in silence For the moments you wiped my tears as they fell For the days you've carried my strengthless body For minutes you've held me close to Your heart For the seconds you've opened my eyes to Your truths For the times You've laughed alongside me For the hours You've encouraged me For the moments that You loved me For years, months, days, hours, minutes Thank You You’ve never given up on me You’ve never let me go and You never will

  Fight for You The enemy is waging war for our hearts The battle seems to follow us wherever we go Fighting in the streets and rioting on the screens Fires surround us and fear seems crippling Countless pieces of ash falling from the sky The sun has turned orange around the smoke Chaos is all that we see when we wake up But my friends the Lord He fights for you He is still in control and holds the world Sometimes it takes mass chaos and fear To turn the world back to Jesus Christ The end is written and the winner is God Open your eyes and see the godlessness This world has forsaken God not the other way around Sin is on display and floods our current media It is celebrated and encouraged by others The enemy’s fate is already sealed my friends He doesn’t win he loses and he knows it Sin and death was defeated by the cross And when Jesus rose again it lost its grip We now have the opportunity for eternal life No long slaves to the chains of sin and death But rather freedom to bring ...

  My Whole Life An Offering You hold me close to Your heart to stay As You wipe away the troubles of the day Remind me that I am a daughter of the King And so I lift up my voice to You and sing Every day and every step You walk with me Every moment You cause my heart to beat Every second a new breath in me You breathe I am alive to worship and praise the King Let all I am and all I will be My whole life an offering To the One who saved me Lord of lords and King of kings You hold me close in Your loving arms to stay Remind me who I am is only what You say No one else can compare to You my King So I lift up my voice to You and I sing

Uncertainty   Every storm that I have faced has come to an end You’ve been faithful to me every step my friend Walked with me through heartaches and pain And taught me not to keep my eyes on the rain Sometimes I focus on the thunder and lightening Instead of reaching out to grab Your open hand Sometimes I let the darkness bring me down Instead of listening to You remind me who I am You’ve walked through every rain cloud with me When the tears just wont stop rolling down my cheek You reach out Your hand and dry up every one In uncertainty You’re the hope I’ve always known

Expiration Date Thank You Father that my hardships have an expiration date That there will come a day when it will no longer have its day You promise us that rejoicing will come in the morning You wipe away our tears and replace our weeping with joy Our current situation isn’t our forever future but just a moment Here one day and gone the next because You are faithful to us You walk every step with us through each and every day To the highest of mountains and to the lowest of valleys  There You are right beside me telling me there’s an end to this Keep pushing and keep pressing on this won’t last forever You tell me this is all part of my plan just keep trusting me I’ve carried you this far and I’ll carry you even farther than this Lean into me and I will give the strength to keep moving Hold onto me and I will keep you standing on your feet

  Deep Blind Spots Look I will never claim to ever be perfect Because I am flawed through and through It is Christ in me that You are seeing My joy isn’t found in my circumstances But my joy is rooted in Christ’s love for me If you only knew that kindness is not my strength But God has been growing me in that fruit His light illuminated my deep blind spots To show me that there’s nothing good in me And every action has a selfish motivation In my weakness I reached out to God And He heard my cry of desperation He rescued me from the bondage of sin He breathed life into my dead bones Showed me His goodness and His love Gave me a second chance and new life Taught me that He uses our weaknesses To show His strength through them He is perfect and nobody else is perfect But in Christ we can have love, joy, peace Love that conquers all, joy in the morning Peace that passes all understanding He erases the sins of the past Now we walk through this life together It’s not always sunshine and ...

More Than Just An Amen Amen is not the goodbye at the end of a call But an invitation for You to speak to me I humble myself before You and wait Patiently I wait for Your response to my prayer I know that I tend to overspeak And I tend to not stop talking While I’m supposed to be listening Please quiet my rambling heart You want more of me than just my own words More than just an Amen to seal the prayer But a receptive heart to seek after You Teach me to be meek and open to Your will I know that I tend to chatter  And I tend to go on and on While I’m supposed to be listening Please quiet my rambling heart Quiet my soul Silent my heart Open my eyes Mute my mouth

  Dry Bones Here in the desert where there seems to be nothing Dry bones cover the ground and sand in between Life is not here it is nowhere to be found And death surrounds us it’s all around But You call these bones back to life Call these dead lives into new ones Give a second chance to those who are lost Allow Your lost sheep to return to the herd Only You Father God can breathe life into dry bones Only You King Jesus can bring peace in chaotic homes Only You God Almighty can bring light to the darkness Only You Savior King can bring the prodigal home
